Here’s Tammy, as pleased as punch with her work. We chose to have Alice diving into the Mad Hatter’s Hat and the Chesire cat peering out of the tea pot.
Our first challenge in a total Pettinice coverage. An Alice in Wonderland themed party cake for Kaylee’s 7th birthday. As Tammy has been on a course with Stacey, relating to icing and Pettinice work, we had to literally dive into the deep end and do our first 3- D pettinice finsh on a cake. Tammy has been all consumed in making Alice diving into the cake with all other related stuff that is associated with the theme. After much stress and hot flushes on my part, it was like birthing a baby. We did it. Well done Tammy. Now we are ready for our next challenge. Christine, Kaylee’s mom was very happy with the end result. Thank you for the opportunity to try out this newly acquired skill on Kaylee’s cake.
ZOO ANIMAL TUMBLES CAKE FOR WILLIAM
. The lion is William’s favourite animal. It had to be the main feature of his cake. The Tumbles cake was chosen for the adult’s and the cookies for the children. Happy 2nd Birthday William.
ANOTHER PAVLOVA FINISH
Have you ever battled with pavlovas especially after a rainy season. Here is a way to still have your pavllova and eat it.
If it starts to break, let it and fill the base with cream, topped with fruit and then place the irregular broken pieces on top of the filling. Drizzle dark choclate on top and dust in icing sugar. There you are!
