Iam back on track with my blogging. It has been a full two month break. We moved, settled down, went on holiday and dived straight into the wedding season.

Life has been a bit hectic with having flu  and trying to catch up on quotes, doing workshops, celebration cakes, functions ,wedding cakes and prepaing for our move. I never knew that I had so much equipment in the business. When you are using it all the time it doesn’t seem as much.

This  week was a bit different to most as there were no wedding cakes to prepare for. The pressure seems quite different when doing celebration cakes.

We had such fun, having Barbara join in the kitchen, on site for the first time. We loved having you share your expertise with us. When someone has been doing something for years, it really shows.

My niece finished her first and only Comrades with about 4 minutes to spare. Wow Odette, we are all so proud of you. Every finisher is a winner in Comrades as all run their own race with their own challenges to contend with.

 

Barbara broke our record of a 14kg wedding cake with a 23kg one. Two tiers fruit cake and 1 tier carrot cake. Two of us had to carry it.
